Narciso Rodriguez was born in 1961 in Newark, New Jersey. His parents was emigrants from Cuba.
Rodriguez received his formal education at the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York. Following freelance work in New York’s garment industry, he joined Anne Klein as Women’s Design Director under Donna Karan and later moved on to working for Calvin Klein. In 1997 he founded his own brand and is today a very successful designer with clothes, accessories and perfumes under his belt.
