NIVEA is an internationally known skin care brand founded in 1911. The company produces a wide range of products, including shower gels, suncare, soaps and moisturisers. Some of the most popular lines of products from Nivea includes Pure & Natural, Nivea Creme The Original and Nivea Men.

The brand was created by a trio of scientists; Dr. Oscar Troplowitz, Dr. Isaac Lifschütz and Prof. Paul Gerson Unna. They combined their technical expertise to create Eucerit, a water and oil-based cream to treat skin conditions. When they saw the incredible results from using the cream they realised they had a great skincare product on their hands and they called it NIVEA, because of its colour, which was white like new snow.

The aim of the company has always been to manufacture products for skincare that are reliable at competitive prices.
